Modular UI. Zero Bloat.

A focused component library for building clean PHP interfaces without dragging an application into a frontend ecosystem it never asked for.

Plain PHP First-class, not an afterthought.
Framework friendly Use it where it fits. Ignore it where it doesn't.
Predictable Components should not become another dependency problem.
Small by design Ship the interface, not an ecosystem.
A smaller frontend surface

UI infrastructure that stays out of the application's way.

PHPui is intended for developers who want dependable interface components without adopting a large client-side framework, application runtime or tightly coupled design system.

Use it with a lightweight PHP application, integrate selected pieces into an existing framework, or keep the backend entirely your own. The UI layer remains a tool rather than becoming the architecture.

The component layer

Familiar controls. Deliberate behavior.

The useful things a PHP application repeatedly needs, presented consistently and kept intentionally boring where boring means reliable.

Controlled, not clever

The browser should not become the application's second backend.

PHPui can provide the visible components while PHP remains in control of validation, state and application logic.

Where client-side behavior improves the experience, it can stay narrowly scoped rather than turning the whole page into a JavaScript application.

Semantic HTML Accessible controls Small JavaScript helpers Server-friendly forms Responsive layouts No framework lock-in
Use the pieces you need

Raw PHP, your own framework, or somebody else's.

PHPui is being designed as a standalone layer rather than an inseparable extension of one particular backend framework.

That also makes it a natural companion to a lightweight PHP framework without requiring the two projects to become the same project.

Plain PHP Native fit
Custom PHP frameworks Drop-in
ViperPHP / Laravel / Symfony Selective use
Existing applications Incremental
Keep the starting point obvious

PHP should still look like PHP.

The final API can evolve without requiring an application to adopt an elaborate component runtime.

example.php
<?php

use PHPui\UI;

echo UI::form()
    ->field('email', type: 'email')
    ->field('name')
    ->submit('Create account');
PHPui Build the interface. Keep control of the application.
